Intuitive Painting Class

Martha Graham, the great American modern dancer, and choreographer said: “There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening, that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and will be lost.”

This is one of our biggest gifts and responsibilities. To express our unique mix of nature and nurture. That life force is pressing to be freed and shared.

Unblocking our innate creativity requires embodiment. Freeing it will not only manifest in a piece of art, but in a disposition to try things, be willing to get them wrong, and through trial and error allowing us to achieve mastery. A playful process that takes listening, slowing down and idling judgement.

We adults forgot how to play. In playing, we involve our whole selves, we get into flow states and attune with the process.

Lotte Goede will guide us to let go of our fears and allow a painting to evolve from playing and listening to our heart’s callings.
